...Going to the Zoo Zoo Zoo...

A few weeks ago ( yes Im way behind on our blog) we met some of our friends up at Hogle Zoo. Rylee had gone once before when she was 11 months, so I was excited to take her now that she was older. I told her the night before that we were going to see the animals in the morning. She said, " oh cows and dogs?" I tried to explain to her that we were going to go see elephants and monkeys, but she had a hard time believing me. One time I sang her the song that goes...

Mommies taking us to the zoo tomorrow, Zoo tomorrow, zoo tomorrow. Mommies taking us to the zoo tomorrow , we're gonna stay all day. We're going to the zoo zoo zoo, you can come too too too, we're going to the zoo zoo zoo!

So naturally she remembered I sang it that one time, and insisted the whole way up that we sing it... shoot me! Even though there was no where to park and the zoo was packed, it was a really fun day! Rylee loved most of the animals, but got freaked out by the gorilla! She couldn't get away fast enough from the sleeping gorilla. Good thing it wasn't awake or she would have had a heart attack!

All ready to see some animals!

Rylee and Jade

We stopped at the Tigers first. She could have spent the whole day there! Any tiger or cat looking animal she saw, she would say, " Look mom its Moe Moe." I love that every cat is named Moe Moe!

The Giraffes were a big hit too!

She couldn't look at the camera for longer then a second... she needed to look at those animals.

Barb and Jade.
Barb nannies for this super cute little girl.

You wonder why she is so scared?
They are having a Jurassic theme for the summer, and there are big dinosaurs everywhere that move and make noise. The T-Rex scared the crap out of her.

Barbs SIL came up to with her little girl and the 2 kids she nannies.

Holli Barb and their kids.

The scary gorilla

Is she not gorgeous?!

Last time we were at the zoo, Rylee hated the carousel. This time she didn't want to get off!

Barb and Holli left after a few hours, but me and Ry stayed a little longer by ourselves.

Hmmm... what is everyone looking at?

Just a tiger eating a bunny rabbit!
So we stopped by the tigers one more time before we left, and there was a lady with buckets of food. I thought it might be kind of cool to watch her feed them. So, we stuck around... front row mind you. She was hiding huge cow bones and bunny rabbits in the tigers cage. She said that they only do this once a month, so consider yourself lucky to see it. They hide them so that the tigers have to come out and find them. It keeps their senses strong. Sure enough they let the tigers out and all 4 of them started searching and smelling. The one grabbed a bunny ( their frozen) out of a tree and started ripping it apart. Rylee thought it was funny, and I thought it was pretty cool to see!

You cant tell by this picture, but she had a great time!

...Pool Days...

Usually we spend our summers at Seven Peaks, but since the whole state of Utah bought passes this year we have only gone one time! Instead we have hit up the Payson Pool A LOT!!  I think until Rylee is older, like 8, we will just get Payson Pool passes.

Here is my list of reasons why Payson Pool is better then Seven Peaks

1. You can bring in your own food and drinks.
We stop and get a pizza, load up the cooler with drinks and treats and are set for the day!
2. They have a limit on how many people can come in. When the limit is reached no one is allowed in until someone leaves.
3. There is a side for the older kids with a pool and diving board, and the rest is pretty much for the younger kids. The water only goes up to their ankles in most areas.
4. The water is heated.
5. The bottom of the pool is cushioned, so you cant cut your feet.
6. There are lounge chairs so you aren't sitting on the ground or hauling your own chairs in
7. There are places to park and its FREE!
8. You can bring your own tubes for the lazy river.
9.  You don't have to wait in line for an hour to get your bags checked
10. Its only a 5 minute drive
11. Its just way better then The Peaks this year!

Honestly, Rylee has way more fun at Payson, and she lasts longer there. We have loved it so much this year!
The first time we went, we walked in and Rylee said, " Oh mom I lub it, its so pitty."

So, if you haven't tried Payson Pool. yet, its a must!

Ry and Zealnd hanging out waiting to get sun screened!

Some days I think she likes the treats more then the pool!

What are you looking Z?
They make all kids 3 and under wear these awesome swim diapers under their bathing suits. If you have one bring it, cause they make you buy one there if you don't!

Oh, I love this girl!

Handsome Z!

Her favorite thing there.
She usually pretends like she is washing her hair in it!

She swims for 5 minutes and then lays out for 5 min.... total routine now!

...Softball...

In a nutshell....
WE LOVE THE BALL PARK!
I grew up spending my summer nights at the ball park, either playing or watching, so I love going to watch Chasey play! Ry is okay at the games, she wants to be out their with them playing.
She loves to get a snocone, and she is a great little cheerleader!

She wanted to sit with Chasey in the dugout, but the rule is no kids in the dugouts. Poor little girl!

Lovin her snocone!

...Sundays at Grandma Paula's...

When my Grandma Darling passed away my mom was able to buy her home. Its been such a great thing for everyone, but I especially love it! Sundays were always so fun to go visit Grandma and Grandpa, sit on the porch and have a coke and just visit. Now we are able to still do that, and so can our kids! Something about that house is just a comfortable welcoming feeling. I love going there!

Sundays my mom usually has everyone over for Sunday dinner. With the warmer weather we can send the kids outside to play... very nice! Ry is lucky to have some awesome cousins who love to play with her. She gets so excited when she sees them, and cant help but squeal... " Samben, Samben!" Yes their names have combined into one long name!

The best we could get of  the 3 of them!

 Messy Strawberry face.

Hmmm... I wonder who gave her that?!

Piggies!
She looked in the mirror at them and said, " Oh mommy I lub my piggies. They are so pitty."

Samben, Aunt Cake, and Ry

She 100% adores Sam!

Showing  off her potato bug. She loves bugs!

Thanks for letting us invade your home every Sunday mom! Now our kids will have some of the same memories we did!
