To say I take too many pictures is an understatement, but I LOVE it and I cant stop!!!
When we go on vacations I seem to triple my picture taking, so bare with me on these next couple posts!!
My SIL started planning trips over spring break. I'm not too sure if the whole family was originally invited on these trips, but we have all tagged along for the past two years. This year we went to Capital Reef and had a FABULOUS time!!! We stayed in little cabins that were a steal of a deal and all but one were all next to each other. It was in the perfect location... huge grass area for the kids to play on, the play ground was right by the cabins and if the pool would have been open that would have been right in front of us too. Thanks Katie for always researching the funniest places to stay!
We left on Thursday night, which was also my birthday whoot whoot, and got there about 8 that night. We got all unpacked and had some cake. My Dad and Karen brought a cake down not knowing that my mom had one too. There was plenty for everyone. This was the only pic I took on my birthday.
We got up the next day ate some breakfast, let the kids play for a little bit, and just relaxed. Rylee thought it was awesome to have her cousins there when she woke up.
my brother used to do some modeling when he was younger, so the stance is natural to him.
We found this awesome soccer ball at Walmart before we left. It was perfect the kids ( and the adults) !
Johnny cooking some breakfast
Ry Kenna and Sayla.
I love this picture. Katie was going over to kick the ball but right as she got to it Mat kicked it. Katie was saying, " hey that's my ball."
She got her turn!
Ry and Say
I tried getting Rylee to wear this hat a few days before a vacation, but she refused. A soon as Sayla put hers on Rylee did too!
After breakfast we headed out to hike.
First stop.... Chimney Rock.

Mom and Ry walking up the trail. Rylee refused to be in the carrier... in her words, " momma I walk pease I walk?" It made for a long way up the trail!
My moms knees starting hurting ( she has torn meniscus) so I was holding her arm helping her up. She also had stuck Ry's bow in her hair. I told her people passing us probably thought she was handicap.
The whole hike was really long, so with all the kids we just did some of it.
Grandma Paula bought Ry a purple rock at the gift shop before we left. Well, if that wasn't the coolest thing ever to Ry I don't know what is?! She kept it gripped in her hand all day!
Stopping at the Visitors Center
Just chillin in a rock
The second hike was "easy", so Katie said.
Rubbing dads head
Just a lone lizard
We got some nap time in, but not enough!
My nephew found all sorts of places to climb into and lay!
Mat and Katie
My Dad and Karen
Rylee and Sayla
These two were little troopers. They both wanted to walk, and surprisingly did a good job at keeping up.
Having one of her fits.
Mat Chasey and John in one of the slot canyons
Playing in the soft sand.
Chasey took this picture, I don't really know why, but since he never takes pictures I decided to put it in.
These two would have stayed here all day playing in the sand
Loving the sand and some warm sun!
Taking a break
Best Friends
Kenna and Sam
Me and Mom
Everyone else went on another hike, but me Chase, mom, Ry and Kenna headed back to rest and shower!
That night we went to eat at a place in town. the food was delicious and the pie was even better. They served pinto bean and pickle pie... sounds gross, tasted great!
Just another one of Say and Ry
That night we sat around the fire and had these two roast us marshmallow's!
As you can tell Rylee loved them!
Day one was so much fun!!!
