I thought doing The 12 of Christmas at our house would be fun this year. So, every night since the 12th of December we have done one Christmas thing as a family. It has actually been a lot of fun, and something that has made us turn off the TV for a little bit every night. I still have 4 days to go, but I wan to keep up on our blog as much as I can, so I don't have a billion posts after the holidays! Ill add the last 4 days as we go.
On the 1st day of Christmas our family......
Made Sugar Cookies! Okay, so I bought pre made sugar cookies, and we decorated them. Rylee went nuts with the sprinkles, and I think ended up using two bottles on 3 cookies!
On the 2nd of Christmas our family...
Colored Christmas pictures! I'm pretty sure Chasey and I had more fun doing this then Rylee did. Here are our finished appropriate drawings.
On the 3rd day of Christmas our family...
Painted toenails and got our Christmas packages ready to send to Florida!
Rylee loves her toes painted, and has gotten really good at not touching them until they are dry. Wrapping present was a little stressful with her. She wanted all the tape and wanted to rip the paper. Oh well we got the packages done and they looked great!
On the 4th day of Christmas our family...
Delivered neighbor gifts. I had someone make yummy caramel apple pie apples. Of course we kept one for us, and enjoyed it that night while we played cards. I got those cutest snowmen for my awesome visiting teachers!
On the 5th day of Christmas our family...
Decorated Grandpa Darlings grave. We actually did this one while Chasey was at work. We figured it would be too cold by the time he got home. Ry always love to run around the cemetery and take things off other graves... I don't love that. I actually feel really bad, and want to apologize to all those people who are getting stuff stolen from them. Before we left Rylee broke Grandpas golfing Santa, and we left hands down the ugliest wreath ever. We made the wreath o save a few bucks. Next year I'm pretty sure we will just spend the extra $8 and buy a nice one.
On the 6th day of Christmas our family...
Went to the Mormon Tabernacle Choir Christmas concert, and watched a Christmas movie. We left Rylee with a babysitter (THANK YOU Poulters!), and had a great night by ourselves. Do you know how nice it is to go on a date without a sippy cup, wipes, diapers, books, and a doll in your purse?! Its AWESOME! WE got home late late late because of traffic. By the time we woke Rylee up at the Poulters and drove home she was wide awake. We watched a Christmas movie with her and went to bed.
Ont he 7th day of Christmas our family...
Went to see Santa's reindeer and met some friends in Salt Lake to see the lights.
On the 8th day of Christmas our family...
Made gingerbread houses. Rylee was big eyed at all the candy that was on the table. Chasey swears he had never made a gingerbread house before... that explains the little candy on his house.
On the 9th day of Christmas our family...
Celebrated my nieces 2nd birthday and had a visit from Santa!
