...Santa Found Us...

Santa definitely found us Christmas morning, and left more then he should have!

Ever since I was little our family tradition has been to leave your stocking where you want Santa to leave your gifts. It seemed like it was the same places every year... Shani left hers on the fireplace, mine was on the wood bin, and the boys got the couches. Then on Christmas morning you knew what was yours. Also Santa left all of his gifts unwrapped, assembled, and ready to play with. That's what Chasey and I have decided to do too!

We had places to be at 10 and at noon, so when Rylee still wasn't up at 8:15 we went ahead and woke her up. BAD IDEA! She didn't sleep good that night, and I had given her some benadryl. She was so cranky, and just wanted to go back to bed!! I thought she would be so excited to her gifts, and want to go play with them. Instead she just wanted me to hold her! Finally she spotted Minnie Mouse, and she ran over to her!

We couldnt get that dang mouse out the box fast enough.

She opened a few more gifts, and wanted to play with them as soon as she saw them. So you know how many twisty tie things are on toys these days? Good night, its ridiculous!!

Going through her stocking.

Santa brought Chasey his TV!!

Look at our sweet little Rylee throwing one of her fits!

In her stocking she got a candy cane full of M&M's.
We could have given her that and nothing else!

Such a happy girl!
Not even on Christmas could I get a smile out of her!

I have wanted this picture for a long time, and Chasey remembered and got it for me!

What a mess!

Grandma Paula comes over to see what all the kids got on Christmas morning.

Having some Christmas breakfast on our new table.

My neighbor gave us a really good story a week before Christmas, about how Christmas isn't only for kids. That there are older people who don't have any family on Christmas, and we need to remember everyone. We decided that instead of helping a family this year for Christmas ( too many bad experiences anyways with that), we would go to the rest home Christmas morning and spend time with those who didn't have any family. I called and got two names and what they liked/needed for Christmas. It was so much fun shopping for them, and even more fun going over there and seeing how happy they were to have visitors. They loved Rylee, and thought she was so cute. Rylee had brought her new Cabbage Patch over with her, and showed all the ladies her baby. We had such a great time!  It is something that we will for sure start doing every year!

Darlene is on the couch next to us. She loves to color, so we brought her a bunch of new paper, crayons, pencils, and markers! She was so happy!!!

Howard likes Sprite and 3 Muskateers.

Howard asked for a picture with me and him. He has a whole wall of him and girls!!

After the rest home we headed up to my Dad and Karens.

Dad "raking the ribs" with Ry.

Grandpa Craig and some of the kids.

Opening gifts.
Karen's mom passed away a few weeks ago. She had us all sit down before we opened gifts, and had Katie read a poem that one of her friends had given her. It was such a pretty poem about how her mom was celebrating Christmas in Heaven.

Kenna and Say.

Ben

Too much Christmas for John.

She wouldnt hold still for a picture. This is the best I could do.

Mat and Katie.

Lots of food!
Stan and Todd stopped up to see what everyone got.

Cheers!

Grandma Karen had coloring books for the kids... which they loved!

We came home from My Dads, took a family picture, fed Rylee, and we all took a 4 hour nap!!

Before bed, we had to hear a song on Ry's new flute!

We hope you all had a great Christmas!
