... Denver...

We headed back to Denver at the first of this month. My mom called and said she bought us tickets to go with her. I wasn't too sure at first, I had never traveled without Chasey before. It ended up being a really fun trip with beautiful weather, and a good break for Chasey to be in his shop for 5 days! Here is our trip in 60 pictures!

Getting ready to go!

My cute nephew Spencer.

These two are great little friends.
Cassie kept telling Rylee that she was her friend and I was her friends mom.

Doing a little outlet shopping while the older kids were in school!

Mary told us about this place called Hudson Holiday. She talked it up, and even said it was way better then the Festival of Lights in Spanish Fork. So, we ventured out to see if it was really that great! Besides loosing $20 there, it was AWESOME!!! Its a huge garden that they decorate like crazy with lights, trains, decorations, and light shows. It was so fun, and yes, better then Festival of Lights! The fun part is that you walk through it. The kids all had a great time.

Ry loves her cousin Abby!

Poor Ry couldn't see over the fence...

No matter how hard she tried!

By the end all the kids wanted piggy back rides.

My brother and SIL.

We came home and Mary fixed us hot chocolate and mint ice-cream.

Love this little bug!

Ella Jean.

The next day we went swimming at the Rec Center.

The "Watchers."
Dustin did get in and swim with us.

By her face in these pictures you would think she was beyond scared, but she would make this face when the water would hit her. At the end she was hysterically laughing!

Cassie.

It was such a fun pool and perfect for the kids. They did have a water slide that was for the older kids. Me, Dustin, and Abby did that a couple times.

The next day was church... don't the kids all look so cute?!

Me and Ella cuddled up on the couch and watched Christmas movies all afternoon, while Mom and Mary made a turkey dinner.

These two were so funny together.
Rylee would just go up and lay on Cassie and then bear hug her, so she couldn't move.

The 3 Amigos... they were inseparable!

After 12 hours at church  Dustin was ready for some dinner and apple cider! He had meetings all day and then tithing settlement.

Yummmmmmm!
Mary and Mom made the best dinner.

The next day we all went to IHop for breakfast.

Then came home and went for a bike ride to the coolest bridge ever!

We stopped at the park to let the kids play.

I love this picture!

Of course we had to decorate sugar cookies.

Aunt Mary made Rylee color by herself while the kids decorated cookies... sad.
The Lone Colorer.

In honor of Dustin.
D was out of town on a business when we did cookies, so I had to do one in his memory.

One of the many outfits Ella wore!

Heading home. I bought this Magna Doodle for Ry to use on the plane. Oh gosh, it was the best $10 I ever spent. She colored on that thing the whole plane ride!

She would hold it up with her toes.

When the plane would take off she would laugh and look at me.

It was such a great trip, and so good to spend some more time with family. Thanks Mary for all the cooking you did, and for rearranging your kids so we had a bed to sleep in! It was a wonderful trip! Cant wait to get back to that bridge Dustin!

*Some favorite memories the trip and funny things the kids said*

Spencer not wanting to eat his meatball says, " Aww I wish this meatball was in Australia."

Spencer couldn't find all the sea creatures in his book, so he turns to  me and says, " Aunt Lyndsay I think it would be a good responsibility for you to find all those sea creatures, so I can turn the page."

I had so much fun taking Abby to King Sooper. Just us two.

Cassie didn't understand that Rylee was my baby. She kept calling her my friend. We were bathing kids one night and Ry was standing next to me. Cassie pokes her and says, " Move Ry I want to stand next to my friends Aunt."

Cassie and Ry shared a room. We would go in to check on them and they would both be up talking to each other and laughing.

  1. I can't believe how big Ry is getting! She's so adorable and turning from a cute little toddler to a cute little girl. I can't wait to see you guys over Christmas break!
